CACHE Level 4 Managing Quality Standards in Children's Settings

 

During this Award you will learn about the philosophy, policy and principles underpinning quality assurance schemes and learn how to improve and maintain standards within your setting. The second unit looks at the inspection process and how to manage it, how it influences future practice and the importance of continuing staff professional development to ensure that best practice is achieved.

Who is the qualification for?

This award is for experienced Level 3 practitioners who have responsibility for leading the standards in the pre-school setting, managing and updating policies and staff professional development.

 About the qualification

The CACHE Level 4  Certificate in Managing Quality Standards in Children's Services consists of 2 units:

  • Unit 1 – Establishing, Maintaining and Improving Standards in Children's Services
  • Unit 2 – Managing the Statutory Inspection Process in Children's Services

How will I be assessed?

In each unit you will be assessed by a 2000 word written assignment. One is marked by CACHE, the other one is marked by the centre and moderated by CACHE. You will receive support throughout the course to work to these assignments with guidance and individual tutorials. Full details of the assignments and marking criteria are given in the course handbook.

Taught sessions

This qualification is taught over 2 terms one session of 3 hours,  one morning a fortnight for 20 weeks. Students also need to be working or volunteering in a school setting for 120 hours during the course.

Cost of the Course

The CACHE  Level 4  Certificate in Managing Quality Standards in Children's Services costs Dhs 6,000 including CACHE registration, comprehensive course handbook and certificate. Discount is available for group booking and BSME schools.
